I belong to a photo guild on Facebook. Every few weeks, there is a new photo challenge. The current challenge is “ordinary”. As I read the description yesterday, I felt compelled to focus on ordinary objects of my everyday life.
This is “Part One” of Ordinary. Ordinary may be a recurring theme here.
Taken from our photo guild page:
Our current photo tag is challenging us to see and share the ordinary things and situations in our lives. How can we find beauty in the everyday. What story does an ordinary object tell?

Do not ask your children
to strive for extraordinary lives…
Help them instead to find the wonder
and the marvel of an ordinary life.
Show them the joy of tasting
tomatoes, apples and pears.
Show them how to cry
when pets and people die.
Show them the infinite pleasure
in the touch of a hand.
And make the ordinary come alive for them.
The extraordinary will take care of itself.

Thank you Nora. It’s still sitting on the counter – there’s an egg in the glass. Before it was in vinegar. Now it’s in beer. 🙂

You combined your pics of “ordinary” subjects and the quote by Wm. Martin into an extraordinary post on the value of finding beauty in the simple, everyday things. 🙂
