A bit of a late “Thankful Thursday” post –

I will admit it. I love Facebook on my birthday. I have friends and relatives who live all over the world and people start wishing me a happy birthday hours before my day here in New Jersey. I love to especially read greetings from my cousins in the Philippines and Europe. Seeing the birthday greetings pop up throughout the day is a constant reminder that I am blessed.

So even though tomorrow (Friday) is my birthday, I am celebrating it now and thanking God for the countless blessings that fill my life.

I am thankful that I have an outlet to express my love of beauty especially in nature through photography. And that I am able to share this outlet with you my friends in the WordPress community. Blogging has opened up a new world for me.

I am thankful for my parents who brought me into this world and enabled me to be the person I am today. I am thankful for my husband, my amazing nine children, my son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and my two adorable grandsons.

I am supremely thankful that my faith in God has sustained me through so many hardships and struggles and has filled me with such a deep sense of wonder and awe – namely that I am so profoundly loved.

The first fact about the celebration of birthdays is that it is a good way of affirming defiantly, and even flamboyantly, that it is a good thing to be alive.
