Using such beautiful words to describe his fiance, Gavin lists the many reasons why he loves her.

Last week, I had the privilege of attending a bridal shower honoring a young woman who has become like a daughter to me. Because her mother and future mother-in-law live out of state and were unable to attend, my daughters who are her closest friends, asked me to take on the role of honorary mother.

They asked me to say a few words about marriage and I, of course, could not help but think of my own husband and the immense love we have for each other. It brought me back to those exciting days leading up to our own wedding, a whirlwind of activity; our young hearts trying to contain the exuberance of our love for each other.

30 years after my own bridal shower, I am more in love with my husband than ever before. Needless to say, I am very thankful for the blessing of my husband and the opportunity to share about the gift of our own marriage.
