During the month of June, Jude from the earth laughs in flowers challenges us to photograph gardens and nature that convey The Essence of Summer. Here are images of flowers that were blooming my garden in early June. I will probably post more images as more of my flowers bloom this month.

Love those knock out! I think they’re best when left alone like yours and never trimmed to look too formatted. Great job!

Yes, they really are beautiful and fill up the end section of my garden so wonderfully. Thanks for commenting!

Irises, roses, peonies – love them all – and the larkspur is a beauty! Never grown that one, but I see it is related to the delphinium.

Thank you Jude! Larkspur is an annual flower. It reseeds itself and comes up every year. This year is a particular good batch.

I like things that reseed – saves a lot of money! Although sometimes they can be a little TOO enthusiastic 🙂
