This week I am very thankful for the opportunity to challenge myself in my photography skills. After photographing a large family two weeks ago, a couple who are expecting their first child asked me to take their pictures this week. Each photo shoot offered challenges and new learning experiences for me. And I am very happy with how the images turned out.
Cee’s Compose Yourself Photo Challenge offers another challenge to help me improve my photographic skills. This week’s theme is symmetry.
This is the Main Street Bridge in Clinton, NJ. Built in 1870, it is constructed of cast and wrought iron.
The following two images were taken in Longwood Gardens, Kennett Square, PA. taken the last day of their Christmas display.
Lastly, I decided to play around with a mirrored image as Cee displayed on her blog. This image features an icon of Sci-Fi British TV, the TARDIS from one of my favorite TV shows, Doctor Who.
What are you thankful for?
If you would like to share your version of “Thankful Thursday” (photos or text or both) today or in the future, you can link your post to my post on Thursdays in the comments section. Happy Thursday Everyone!

Love these shots. I’ve been to Longwood Gardens in summer, but never for their Christmas display. I’ll have to go one of these years.

Thank you! Yes, Longwood Gardens during Christmas is worth the visit. We are members so we go three or four times a year. Right now, they have an orchid extravaganza which I hope to see (and photograph). Thank you for stopping by and checking out my blog!

Great shots, these are beautiful. I’m attempting to improve my photography this year, too, but I’m a long way from photographing people! I’m sure you’ve got this!

Thank you so much Patti! These challenges help me to keep taking pictures. With the winter, I am not as motivated to bring out my camera.

Neither am I. I’m learning more about iPhonography this winter–I always have that with me. 😉

Thanks so much Amy! I am very excited about Longwood. They are renovating the fountains but keeping it looking like it always looked (but better). The fountains have been closed since 2014. They plan to reopen that section in the summer 2017.
