I have been a Doctor Who fan for over 25 years. For Christmas, my daughter gave me a string of “Tardis” lights.
Day #19 of Capture Your 365 – SPACE
This seems coincidental but the daily prompt for today is “A Moment in Time“. Since I posted before the prompt, I guess my post doesn’t really count…but it would’ve been perfect. π

So cool. And your daughter was certainly very thoughtful. It must have taken some effort π

Fellow whovian,
First let me start by saying that my first doctor was David Tenant…It took me a while to get use to Matt Smith but now I think Bow Ties are Cool…the reason why I am writing is to ask you how you feel about Capardi. I watched the first few episodes and quite honestly I sort of like him but I felt underwhelm. Maybe it was the writing or his interaction with the impossible girl ( I can’t stand her!). The point is that my DVR skip two episodes and to my surprise I really didn’t care. I stop watching! I wonder what is your opinion of the new Doctor…
Cheerios,
Caleb

Dear fellow Whovian fan,
Capadi is brilliant!
He is the Doctor who shows his age, with all the mad brilliance that a 900 year old time lord would have. He is tired, He is cranky – now wonder, he’s been through a lot, AND he has to put up with that impossible girl. I was secretly hoping Clara would be written out of the series now Capaldi has the reigns, but no such luck.
Capaldi is no David Tennant, no Matt Smith, who were both brilliant in their own ways. But he does hark back to the old days or previous doctors….
some of the scripts could be better, but Capaldi does his best. Keep watching, don’t give up on Capaldi’s Doctor. every new Doctor takes a bit of getting used to
A fellow Dr Who Fan

I have to agree with you that the series needed a change of pace, and Capaldi is brilliant at that. Yes, I was hoping that Clara was going to be written out of the series…Oh well.
Yes River Song rock!
I don’t know if you are aware of a fellow Whovian who happens to be an awesome Catholic apologist from Catholic Answers… he name is Jimmy Aiken and in his podcast he routinely covers Dr. Who Episodes.
God Bless!

Hello Caleb and Debbie! Hooray for Whovians! It was sad to see Matt Smith go but I am enjoying Capaldi’s Doctor. Seeing the Doctor as a somewhat cantankerous older man has been fun so far.
One of my favorite quotes from this past season:
Danny: And heβs not the caretaker. Heβs β¦ your dad. Your space dad.
Doctor: Oh, genius. That is really, really brilliant reasoning. How can you think that Iβm her dad when we both look exactly the same age.
Clara: We do not look the same age.
Doctor: I was being kind.

He is awesome. Have you heard of the Catholic Answers radio show? They have the best apologetics show on Radio in terms of its format. You can find them at the iTunes Podcast or at Catholicanswers.com they are like a daily 2 hours apologetic class. Jimmy is a senior apologist.
