It’s been eight months since I started posting on Thankful Thursday every week. That means I have listed at least 37 different things that I am grateful for. That may seem like a lot but the truth is I have found something to be grateful for every day since May 13th. That’s at least 259 things. It’s true that there have been days when being thankful was difficult, but finding that one thing (or several things) somehow transformed my day for the better.
Thanksgiving Day is a day we set aside to be bring to mind the things we are thankful for. But every day can be Thanksgiving Day. Every day can be lived with a heart full of gratitude. Every day brings opportunities for us to see and appreciate the gifts and blessings we have in our lives.
What brings fulfillment is gratefulness,
the simple response of our heart to this life in all its fullness.
~ Br.David Steindl-Rast
A thankful heart sees with the eyes of gratitude.
Happy Thanksgiving! May every day be a day of thanksgiving.

What a heartwarming post. That is so good to hear you look for the positives in life – and when you look back you must feel that things weren’t so bad when you were feeling down. You are so right that every day can be Thanksgiving. Every day comes with its own surprises and lessons, and of course as you said, blessings. We are all very lucky and should all realise that 🙂 ❤
