Part of the Morristown National Historical Park, the Cross Estate Gardens aren’t really secret but they are located in a quiet and secluded place in Morristown, NJ. While searching for public gardens in New Jersey, I was surprised to find this gem of a garden not too far away from where I live.
Tranquil, serene, and texturally luxuriant, according the National Park website, “the meditative and manicured grounds are the perfect setting to read, relax, or enjoy the quiet.” This is a place I know I will find myself when I need a quiet and restful space surrounded by exquisite beauty.

I haven’t been there either, how have I missed these places so close to home.
Have been to the Frelinghuysen Arboretum though and I’m sure you have too 🙂

Yes, I have! Although I haven’t been there in a while. I have plans to go to many places in the fall! That is probably one of them.
Tomorrow I am planning to visit a couple gardens with my husband. Maybe Deep Cut in Middletown and the gardens at Rutgers University.
When I go to Willowwood, I will make sure I tell you, maybe we could finally meet!

Beautiful flowers, and when is it a secret garden, believe me, keep it secret, than the garden will be as beautifully as it’s now – joking, thank you for sharing !
