It has been a really challenging year for my 14 year old. He suffers from migraines and has missed a lot of school. There were days or even several days when he could not even open his eyes and get out of bed; the pain and nausea were so bad. Through the efforts of his extremely kind and loving teachers and his understanding principal, and the many tearful and frustrated prayers said on his behalf, he was able to graduate with his 8th grade class tonight. I say “we did it” because, we – my son, his parents, siblings, teachers, and principal, completed this year together. It was truly a collaborative effort to get this kid through the physical challenges he experienced almost every day. My heart is filled with joy and gratitude. I am so proud of him.
