Life in a big family is well, quite counter-cultural. It’s not a common thing to see in today’s society. But it’s a blast.
Book case designed and built by my husband and kids. Picture taken by my daughter.
Front porch designed and built by my husband and kids.
Taken during a week-long camping vacation. You can tell how far into the vacation we are by the length of my husband’s scruffy beard. 🙂

Love these heartwarming family scenes! I am the mother of an only daughter, but I grew up in a family of four and miss the mayhem sometimes 😀

I love that you have an interracial family. Your children are the children of the world, cultural mediators, if you will, comfortable with different races, and (hopefully) comfortable in their own skin. I, too, have an interracial (adult now) child….with German/Trinidadian heritage and very much at home in the world.

Thank you for commenting! I love the thought of my kids being cultural mediators. I never thought about it until now, but the older ones love to travel and love to learn about other cultures. German/Trinidad combo sounds like a beautiful combination.
