Let me preface this by saying that I have found that there are very few positive blogs about New Jersey. I would like to show a more positive side to beautiful New Jersey and will direct some of my posts to the rich history, natural settings, and diversity of New Jersey.
Washington Rock State Park is located in Green Brook, NJ. It is known for its scenic overlook which is where General George Washington watched movements of the British troops in 1777. We had a chance to stop and visit for a few minutes while enjoying the views on a lovely spring day.

Great views. I spent four years in the state but because I didn’t have a car, I didn’t manage to sightsee much. If you’re ever in Princeton, NJ, and if you love sushi, you should go to Sakura. They are the best in town, and cheap too!

Thanks for the plug about Princeton. This is the second time this week, that someone mentioned Princeton and I haven’t been there since I was a kid. We should try to visit with the kids sometime. Thanks for the comment!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts of New Jersey. I could almost feel the angst just thinking of George Washington watching “the enemy” approach.
